Why Consign?

We don't know of anyone who hasn't bought one or more items that they hardly wore or wore only once and will probably never wear again. Why not turn those unused items into cash? Now is the time to clean your closets and free up space for the clothes you actually wear and the new ones that you'll be buying with all that extra cash you'll earn on your consignment sales.

What We Are Looking For

The Fashion Safari accepts designer clothes, belts, hats, purses, shoes, jewelry and accessories. We are looking for items that are better-label name brand and trendy; styles that can be found in major department or brand name stores today. Our boutique is extremely neat, clean, and organized and our customer base consists primarily of mid to upper-class females who are looking for quality items that are new or like-new. We are not a thrift store...and only accept "quality" items.

We are very selective about what we accept and we advise our consignors to carefully inspect their items before bringing them in. Items must be new or in like-new condition and be less than 2 years old. Clothing must be freshly laundered or dry cleaned, pressed, and on hangers (we return your hangers to you after your items are transferred to our store hangers). Each item must be in season (we are currently accepting "lightweight fall" fashions). Each item must have labels intact, all buttons, zippers working, and free of stains, odors, tears or snags. Please trim any loose threads. Shoes must be new or like-new and be free of scuffs or worn soles. Presentation is everything. The better it looks, the more you will make.

(These are just "some" of the labels we accept and provide only a small representation. Please feel free to bring in any "better-label" merchandise you may have. No discount store merchandise please.)

Items are consigned for a period of 60 days.

The Fashion Safari sets the price based on a percentage of the retail price and dependent upon the brand and condition of the item. We will do our best to get a fair price for your items. Unsold items may be reduced by a certain percentage if they remain on the floor for an extended length of time, in an effort to sell them for you.

You will receive 40% of the final net selling price (excluding any taxes or buyer's fees). Consignors are paid on the 10th of every month and can also use any store credit they have accumulated from their sales to purchase items in the store at anytime during the month.

Consignments are accepted without an appointment Monday thru Thursday. Please take the time to carefully inspect your items before bringing them in. Consignments are received on Friday or Saturday by appointment only. Please call 386-760-3600 to set up an appointment. Drop and run service is available to established consignors.
